Some users of EuroSinging are asking how to add new contests in the database. This feature was supported on version 2 or below, but in version 3 is not supported. I don't think that something like that would be useful in a database with specific records. Update Files will be released every year with information of all songs, points and the scoresheet for final.

I believe that there is no point in creating or deleting entries of a contest because the contests of the past are now history! You may only want to add entries of the upcoming contest, to know the songs and add a few multimedia files. That's why I am thinking of releasing an Update File before the contest.

But if you can't wait for the Update File, there is a secret trick for you to create your own Update File! ATTENTION! Before you try that, make a backup of the file "Eurosinging.mdb". You will need it if something goes wrong and after creating the file.

- In the main menu, press F11
- A new menu item will be revealed in "Edit Database" menu, named "AddNewYear"
- Choose it and you will open a new window.
- There, you can add the information you want about the contest and the countries.
- After creating the Update File (you will find it in EuroSinging's folder), replace the original "EuroSinging.mdb" file and run your update file.

Remember that you are doing this on your own risk! I am not responsible for data loss, database malfuctions or other problems related to adding contests with custom made Update Files.
